Dr. Donwiwat Saensom is a nursing scholar with extensive experience in teaching, research and clinical nursing practice. Academically prepared as a registered nurse, midwife, nurse practitioner and researcher, he has worked in intensive care units, internal medicine wards as well as HIV/AIDS outpatient clinics, internal medicine outpatient clinics and emergency departments. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate nursing students for over two decades in various adult nursing courses, nursing clinical practicums, research methodology, adult nursing innovation and outcome management and critical care nursing.  Leadership roles include service as an Associate Dean for Student Development, Assistant Dean for Academic Development, Director of the Critical Care Adult Nursing short-course training program, program coordinator of the Master of Nursing Science in Adult and Gerontological Nursing, consultant to Critical Care Nursing departments of several hospitals.  He has also served as a reviewer, member of the editorial board and assistant editor for several nursing journals. Dr. Saensom is also a research scholar of the Thailand Research Fund and has been continuously funded since 2006 until present.  He has published many research articles in national and international databases.  He was awarded with best poster and oral presentations in international conferences and was awarded the “Lion Awards for Junior Researcher” by the International Association on Dental Research.

          Associate Prof. Chatkhane Pearkao currently works in the Department of Adult Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, Thailand. He specializes in trauma and emergency care, orthopedic nursing, pain management, first aid and qualitative research. He has conducted research and development around web applications to record nursing interventions for injured patients in an emergency, tools for trauma nurse coordinators, web applications for health promotion in mild traumatic brain injury for education to self-evaluation of brain concussion after patients return home and web applications for first aid. He has also developed applications for basic life support and AED.

          Assistant Professor Dr. Ampornpan Theeranute is a nationally recognized adult gerontological nurse researcher who focuses on improving the health of populations with chronic non-communicable and communicable diseases, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic kidney disease (CKD), diabetes mellitus (DM) and pulmonary tuberculosis (TB). She works closely with her interdisciplinary team comprising physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and physical therapists on many research projects to ensure high quality of nursing care and improve patient outcomes by using varied nursing interventions including self-care management, empowerment, health promotion and health behavior modification. For example, she is the principal investigator in the health innovation project funded by The National Research Council of Thailand with its aim to improve older adults’ medication adherence by replacing directly observe therapy (DOT) with an innovative pill dispenser, “The TB Box.” The TB Box uses artificial intelligence technology with real time alerts and a built-in medical alarm system that is connected to the hospital telehealth which allows the patients to communicate directly with their physicians and nurses. The TB Box has effectively helped patients with TB to adhere to their treatment regimen which, in turn, will reduce drug-resistance and promote improved quality of life of the target population.

          Asst. Prof. Dr. Nonglak is the researcher at the Chronic Care Research Cluster at the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University. She is an experienced chronic care nurse researcher focusing on evidence-based care, case management, self-management, empowerment, advanced nursing practice related to diabetes mellitus, advanced nursing practice related to chronic kidney disease and acute kidney injury. She also works as a researcher and a lecturer in Chronic Kidney Disease Prevention in the Northeast of Thailand (CKDNET) Team. She has contributed to four significant bodies of research including empowerment program for patients with CKD patient and diabetes mellitus, case management, clinical nursing practice guideline development and self-management programs for patients with diabetes mellitus and chronic kidney disease.

          Dr. Wasana Ruaisungnoen is currently an assistant professor in the Adult Nursing Department at the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, where she has been working since 1996. There she also serves as a Director of the Master of Nursing Science International Program. Dr. Ruaisungnoen received her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from Thai Red Cross College of Nursing in Bangkok, Thailand.  She received her Master’s Degree from University of California, San Francisco where she majored as a cardiovascular clinical nurse specialist.  Finally, she received her Ph.D. in Nursing from the University of Washington, Seattle in 2003. Throughout her career Dr. Ruaisungnoen has held numerous positions of significance. She was the Assistant Dean for Student Development (2008-2011), Director of the Adult Nursing Program (2011-2012), Associate Dean for Student Development & Alumni Relations (2016-2017), Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (2017-2018) and the Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Nurses Association of Thailand Northeastern Division (2012-2013). Dr. Ruaisungnoen, specializes in cardiovascular nursing and emergency and critical care. Within this focus, she has conducted several qualitative and quantitative research projects aimed at improving patient outcomes. Through in-depth analyses of the nursing healthcare system and the development of a variety of nursing innovations, she has vigorously worked for the betterment of people’s health. As a result, she has been invited multiple times to share her knowledge, experience, and research regarding cardiovascular nursing as a guest speaker at both the national and international level and a peer-reviewer of several nursing journals.

Assistant Professor Dr. Busaba Somjaivong received her Doctorate in Nursing Science from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, in 2010. She is currently an Assistant Professor in Adult Nursing at the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, Thailand, where she has worked since 1997. Her research interests focus on cancer care and palliative care. She has carried out some research projects, which have contributed to nursing knowledge in cancer care and palliative care in Thailand. For example, she conducted research entitled “The Influence Of Symptoms, Social Support, Uncertainty, And Coping On The Health-Related Quality Of Life Among Cholangiocarcinoma Patients”, “Synthesis of Continuing Palliative Care Facilities from Hospital to Home for the End Life Patients: A Case of One Province in Northeast Thailand,” “Effect of Training Program Nursing (Post-Baccalaureate Program) on Knowledge, Attitudes, and Experience Among Registered Nurse”, “End-Of-Life Care Competency in Long-Term Care Facilities: A Cross-Cultural Study of Korea, Thailand, and Japan,”  and  “Supportive Care Needs of Patients with Cervical Cancer in the Northeast of Thailand”.

          Dr.Maliwan Silarat completed her Ph.D. in nursing science (Adult Nursing) at the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, Thailand. Examined using both quantitative and qualitative research techniques, her research focused on cardiovascular nursing care and critical care nursing. Her professional experiences include working with cardiovascular diseases, health behavior and care throughout Illness Continuum Degree. Some titles she has authored are “Perception of Symptom and Symptom Management of People with Acute Myocardial Infarction”, “Factors Associated with Postoperative Length of Hospital Stay of Older Patients Undergoing Coronary Artery Bypass Graft” and “Prisoners’ Perceptions of the Healthcare Service: A Qualitative Study”.

          Dr. Wiphawadee Potisopha is an early-career researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, Thailand. Dr. Potisopha does research in nursing science, with an emphasis on quantitative studies and systematic reviews. Her clinical experience is in nursing care for acute and critical patients, particularly with neurological and trauma problems and those under surgery. She is interested in decision-making processes in seeking healthcare for acute stroke. Recently, research related to her interest was recognized as the highest ranked abstract from Thailand at the International Stroke Conference 2022, in New Orleans, USA. Her research interests have expanded to include emerging diseases and digital health. During the COVID-19 outbreak, Dr. Potisopha conducted an online survey related to COVID-19 preventive behaviors and the intention to receive the COVID-19 vaccination among Thai populations. Along with her colleagues, she has worked on several digital health projects, including the development of a web-based application for trauma nursing records and a self-learning application for first aid for injured people. Dr. Potisopha’s current research focuses on strokes in specific target groups, including sex and gender matters, as well as older adults. She has been working on multi-method studies to improve stroke literacy for older adults and their family members. Also, she is making ongoing contributions to international collaboration projects on stroke and women with colleagues from the USA, Canada and Australia.

          Dr. Parichat Wonggom is a middle clinician and early-career researcher. She completed her Ph.D. in Nursing from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Flinders University, Australia in 2019. Her study focused on avatar-based application technology of patient education tool for improving heart failure patients’ knowledge and self-care behaviours. She was invited to provide an oral presentation in the Nursing Investigator Award Prize Session in the Heart Failure Meeting in Athens, Greece in May 2019. Since 2010, Dr. Wonggom has been working at Department of Adult Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University. Her professional experiences include work with cardiovascular diseases, perioperative care and gastrointestinal diseases. Her current research makes use of randomize controlled trials and systematic reviews that focus on cardiovascular diseases, heart failure, perioperative care, gastrointestinal diseases and information technology in patient education. Dr. Wonggom has demonstrated a commitment to establishing her research in the literature, with publications in high-ranking journals such as the Journal of Advanced Nursing, Current Heart Failure Reports, Heart, Lung and Circulation and JBI Evidence Synthesis. Her works have been presented at a national and international research conferences and she has also received travel fundings and publication awards. She has been invited as a peer reviewer for international and national journals.  In 2020, her research project was financially supported by the Young Researcher Development Project of Khon Kaen University.

          Dr. Monthida Sangruangake is a middle clinician and early-career researcher. In 2019, she completed her Dr.PH at the Faculty of Public Health, Khon Kaen University, Thailand. Her study focused on developing and validating self-efficacy and self-management measurement in T2DM. Since 2020, Dr. Sangruangake has been working at the Department of Adult Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University. Professional experiences include care for cancer diseases and diabetes, ongoing research in oncology, extensive knowledge of science and health research and effective team leadership of clinical researchers. Dr. Sangruangake has demonstrated a commitment to establishing her research in the literature through prolific publication in high-ranking journals such as the International Journal of Endocrinology. She has also been invited as a peer reviewer for international and national journals in Asian countries.           Miss Orawee Changrueang is a lecturer in Medical and Critical Care Nursing at the Adult Nursing Department of the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University where she has been working since 2022. She earned a Master of Science degree in Adult Nursing from the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University. Her research has focused on kidney diseases and care for patients with kidney diseases. She also has experience taking care of patients with myocardial infarction, heart failure, septic shock as well as acute kidney disease. Her current research interests are self-management, health literacy, and critical care nursing. Emphasis is placed on quantitative and mixed method research regarding acute and chronic conditions especially in the nursing intervention for NCD.

          Dr. Chanika Worasith is an early-career researcher and lecturer at the Adult Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, Thailand. She earned a Ph.D. degree in Parasitology from Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, Thailand. Her research project was focusing on developing and validating of urine antigen assay for diagnosis and assessment of human opisthorchiasis to enable effective surveillance and control and to also support the I-Sarn agenda for “liver fluke elimination to reduce cholangiocarcinoma”. Dr. Worasith was awarded a honorably recognized thesis award from Prof. Kanok Wongtrangan foundation year 2018 and the excellent thesis (doctoral degree) award of academic year 2020 from Graduate School, Khon Kaen University, Khon Kaen, Thailand. For nursing experience, Dr. Worasith was a registered nurse at general surgical ward of Srinagarind hospital involved in taking care of patients with cholangiocarcinoma and hepatobiliary diseases. After completing a Ph.D., Dr. Worasith had received scholarship under the post-doctoral training program from Research Affairs, Khon Kaen University, Thailand for 3 years. During her postdoctoral research, Dr. Worasith had also involved in screening, care and treatment of persons with parasitic infection especially in opisthorchiasis and strongyloidiasis which are a public health problem in northeast of Thailand. Recently, she also works as a researcher in Chronic Kidney Disease Prevention in the Northeast of Thailand (CKDNET) team.
